A very smooth smoke that developed slowly and continuously. The newer version seems to me drier, saltier and sour. And I see no difference after the update and stuff. I don't know any of the ingredient ratios, but I was told that the ratios changed every year to compensate for seasonal changes in the individual ingredients' strength and taste. Nice detail, previously the House Sobranie made the Smoker's Heaven tobaccos.. But still a good 20 bowls worth of premium history. I've had no luck trying to blend existing blends to emulate the original Balkan. Wonderful tobacco provided by one of the best online tobacconists. If all this good smoke is coming from the tobaccos alone, that's incrediblealmost magical! Well, this has finally become unavailable to me. The more recent version, however, was absolutely disgusting. As the tobacco rose on the initial light and one tamped it with the index finger and relit, all the wonderful, contradictory adjectives began to pertain. And sometimes I cut in some Turkish. This is a ?blue-collar? The light unflavored soda note or two along with some dry wood, earth, floralness from the yenidje is always noticeable. Take care of and estimate your favourites, they may disappear as suddenly as TBS did. The dominating Virginias bring a good amount of tang and subdued sweetness that sometimes, play with the Orientals that are deliciously sour with a sparkling taste, for lack of a better word. 'Perfection' I have tried many different brand's over the year's,that claim to be a near perfect copy. I wish I could. What's in there, you smell! If I had to choose but one tobacco this would be it. Very close to what I remember, perhaps Ed Klopin Sr. wanted to duplicate the mix. But I may be deceived.
